Dr. Semere Haile is a distinguished Professor of Management at 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ, where he has been a faculty member since 1987. He currently serves as the Interim Head of the Department of Management & Marketing. Dr. Haile's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in International Business, International Relations/Law, and Third World Studies from the University of Cincinnati, an M.A. in Political Science from the same institution, an M.B.A. in Management from Xavier University, and a B.A. in Business Administration from Hanover College. His extensive teaching portfolio encompasses courses such as Human Resource Management, Strategic Management & Business Policy, Organizational Behavior, and International Business. Beyond 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ, Dr. Haile has contributed to academia through roles at Wiley College, the University of California, Berkeley, Dominican College, and Laney College.​
Throughout his career, Dr. Haile has been recognized for his excellence in teaching and research. He has received numerous accolades, including the Excellence in Teaching Award in Fall 2018, the Distinguished Faculty Award as the Larry Lundy Endowed Professor in 2017, and multiple Best Paper Awards at the Academy of Business Research Conferences. His commitment to scholarly activities is evident through his participation as a Session Chair and Discussant at various International Academy of Business and Public Disciplines Conferences. Dr. Haile's dedication to advancing the field of management is further highlighted by his leadership roles within academic committees and his continuous efforts to integrate current issues into classroom discussions, fostering an engaging and contemporary learning environment.
